Santo Domingo.– President Luis Abinader ordered this Friday the promotion of 9,514 members of the National Police, as part of the actions aimed at strengthening the police career, recognizing the trajectory of the agents and consolidating the process of institutional transformation.
The measure includes promotions at different hierarchical levels, adding up to 2,317 promotions in higher ranks, within the framework of the reform and professionalization that the Government is promoting in the law enforcement body.
Among the officers promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel are Leonardo A. Almanzar Gómez, with four years in his previous rank; Carlos Manuel Amancio Lebrón, with four years of service; Franklin Bautista Martínez; Edgal Bidó Sánchez, with six years; Andrés Felipe Boitel Becerra, with seven years; Juan de Jesús Cepeda Polo, with six years; Máximo M. Contreras Bueno, with seven years; and Yuveres Cuevas Aquino, included in the official list of promotions.
