Arrest warrant issued for woman accused of kidnapping and torturing a minor in Azua

The Second Instruction Court of Permanent Attention of the Judicial District of Azua de Compostela ordered the arrest of Winefer Brito, also known as Luisa, after she was reported for kidnapping and torturing a minor along with her partner Faider José de León Matos.

The event occurred on January 6th in the community of Ansonia, in Azua.

The victim told De Último Minuto that she was beaten, her hair was cut, and she was tortured for several hours until the community and the Police intervened and freed her.

Because Faider received a periodic presentation and an economic guarantee of RD$50 thousand pesos, as a coercive measure, which was appealed, a measure that the community considers unfair.
