Authorities investigate incident in Pueblo Nuevo de Santiago that left two dead and three injured

Santiago. – The National Police, in coordination with the Public Ministry, is investigating the circumstances in which two men were killed and three people were injured by firearms during an incident that occurred on Monday in the Pueblo Nuevo sector. According to the preliminary report, the fatalities were identified as Scotti Manuel Tejada Francisco (a) Escori, 23 years old, and Jasson Alexander de los Santos Batista (a) El Capi, 20, who died from multiple gunshot wounds. The injured are Juan Antonio Toribio Martínez, 57 years old; Elistha Heridenia Almonte, 19, and Russell Arath Núñez, 24, who are receiving medical attention in different health centers.

For this reason, the Police are looking for five individuals identified as Yudelfry Arias (a) Cara de Bola, Bujía, Yasel, Andy, Edwin and El Siete, who are identified as the alleged perpetrators of the attack. According to the preliminary report, the victims were sharing in the aforementioned street when the aggressors, aboard motorcycles, opened fire on them without saying a word. In the crime scene, 67 9mm caliber shell casings and one projectile were collected, in addition to photographic surveys and scientific sampling carried out by the Scientific Police. When reviewed in police files, Scotti Manuel Tejada (a) Escori has a criminal record for homicide and robbery, in addition to a recent complaint for dispossession of belongings. The bodies were sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) of Santiago for the corresponding purposes.
