Santo Domingo.– The bodies of Raiza Mendoza, 50, and her son Yadin Nael Cornelio, 24, found lifeless in an apartment in the Piantini sector, remain at the facilities of the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif), while investigations continue to determine the causes of their deaths.
A source from the Inacif staff confirmed that both bodies are still at that facility, where the corresponding forensic procedures are being carried out.
So far, no family member has offered public statements regarding the event, nor have they officially referred to the case.

The authorities are keeping the investigations open and are awaiting the results of the studies conducted by Inacif, which will be fundamental to establishing what caused the death of the mother and son.
The institution’s spokesperson, Diego Pesqueira, explained earlier that Caroline Milagros Pérez, 22, the girlfriend of the deceased, was discharged from the Modern Medical Center, where she received care after showing symptoms of food poisoning, and was being interviewed by the prosecutor in charge of the case.

As the investigations progress, the acting agencies continue to collect evidence and exhaust the necessary procedures to clarify the event, including an inspection at a restaurant in Juan Dolio where the deceased had allegedly dined the night before the incident.
