Bonao, Monseñor Nouel.– With a solemn patriotic and religious act, the main authorities of the Monseñor Nouel province commemorated this Wednesday the 150th anniversary of the passing of the Founding Father, Juan Pablo Duarte, paying tribute to his legacy and the ideals that gave rise to the Dominican Republic.
The day began with a Solemn Eucharist celebrated at the Our Lady of Fatima Church, from where a commemorative parade departed to Duarte Park, where a floral offering was held before the bust of the founder of the Dominican nation.
The activity was led by the civil governor of Monseñor Nouel, Adela Tejada, who highlighted the importance of keeping patriotic values, civic commitment, and the example of service bequeathed by Juan Pablo Duarte alive for present and future generations.
The event was attended by the mayor of the Bonao municipality, Eberto Núñez; the Cibao Sur regional director of the National Police, Teodoro Santos; the director of the Juma Bejucal Municipal District Board; the director of the Monseñor Nouel Aqueduct and Sewerage Corporation (CORAMON), César Cerda; Anacaona Contreras, as well as representatives from various civil, military, educational, and community institutions of the province.

During the ceremony, the authorities highlighted the sacrifice, vision, and patriotism of Juan Pablo Duarte, while reaffirming the commitment to continue promoting the principles of freedom, sovereignty, and national identity that inspired the creation of the Dominican Republic.
The commemoration was part of the simultaneous events held throughout the country in honor of the 150th anniversary of the passing of the Father of the Nation, strengthening the sentiment of unity and respect for national history.
