A Brazilian-born nanny was sentenced to "10 years in prison" for her involvement in the murder of her employer's wife and another man in a case that shocked the state of Virginia.
The woman, identified as Juliana Peres Magalhaes, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter for her involvement in the events that occurred in February 2023. According to the judicial process, she was in a relationship with her boss, Brendan Banfield, and collaborated in the planning of the crime.
The victims were Banfield's wife, Christine Banfield, and a man identified as Joseph Ryan, who died in the family home under circumstances that were later clarified during the investigation.
