Santo Domingo.– Actress, comedian, and television presenter Brenda Mejía shared one of the most important pieces of news of her life this Thursday, announcing that she has overcome the cervical cancer she was diagnosed with at the end of 2025.
The artist made the information known through her social media, where she posted a video recorded at the Radonic Radiotherapy Oncology Center. In the footage, she is seen ringing the traditional bell that marks the end of cancer treatments and symbolizes a new stage for patients.
“My loves, I came for my quarterly check-up and my oncologist told me: I am cancer-free,” expressed Mejía in the post, which received hundreds of messages of congratulations and support from followers, colleagues, and entertainment figures.
Brenda had publicly revealed her diagnosis earlier this year during an interview on the program Versión Original, on Telemicro. On that occasion, she explained that she began to experience unusual bleeding for several months and that, after undergoing different medical evaluations, a biopsy confirmed that she had cervical cancer.

During the treatment process, the communicator kept her followers informed about her progress and, true to her style, faced the illness with optimism and a sense of humor. Even while she was admitted to a health center last June, she shared a lighthearted message in which she compared her hospitalization to a vacation.
With the announcement that she is no longer suffering from the disease, Brenda Mejía closes a chapter marked by medical treatments and opens a new chapter in her life, grateful for the support received from family, friends, and the people who accompanied her with their prayers and messages of encouragement.
