Santo Domingo.– Dozens of Christians from different denominations gathered this Thursday night at the Plaza de España, in the Colonial Zone, to participate in a day of prayer for the Dominican Republic, in which they raised prayers for the peace, unity, and well-being of the country.

The activity, held between 7:30 and 9:00 p.m., brought together the faithful in an atmosphere of worship, praise, and reflection, with the purpose of interceding for the nation in the face of the social challenges it faces.

During the meeting, the participants prayed for the repentance and spiritual restoration of the country, the health of Dominican families, the strengthening of the economy, reconciliation among citizens, and the promotion of financial principles inspired by Christian values.

They also dedicated a special moment to pray for the authorities, political leaders, and all those who hold leadership positions in state institutions.

The organizers explained that the initiative responds to the biblical call to pray for those who exercise leadership in nations and reaffirmed that the Church’s mission also consists of promoting moral, ethical, and spiritual values that contribute to the well-being of society.
