Santo Domingo.– The Executive Directorate of the Dominican Civil Defense reported this Friday the passing of its former director and volunteer, Jesús Antonio Avelino Rosario, who dedicated a large part of his life to the service of the institution and the well-being of the Dominican population.
Through a message posted on its social media, the entity lamented the passing of Avelino Rosario, highlighting his commitment to prevention, rescue, and assistance efforts in emergency situations.
“We regret the passing of our former director and volunteer Jesús Avelino, a person dedicated to the service and life of the population,” expressed the Civil Defense in a post shared on Instagram.
The institution also highlighted the vocation of service that characterized the career of Avelino Rosario, who held various responsibilities within the organization and contributed to strengthening emergency and disaster response capabilities in the country.

His work was recognized by colleagues, volunteers, and collaborators of the Civil Defense, who valued his dedication, leadership, and commitment to the protection of the most vulnerable communities.
So far, the entity has not offered details regarding the causes of their passing or the funeral arrangements.
The Civil Defense expressed its condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Jesús Antonio Avelino Rosario, while highlighting the legacy of service he leaves behind in the institution and in Dominican society.
