Bonao.– The National Confederation of Transport Organizations (CNTU) reported that it will keep the ticket price unchanged, considering that the current economic situation does not allow for passing on new costs to users.
During a meeting with drivers from the El Abanico route in Bonao, the president of the entity, Williams Pérez Figuereo, explained that, although the sector will continue to analyze the behavior of operating costs, for the moment there are no plans to apply increases to passenger transport fares.
The meeting also provided guidance on road safety. Pérez Figuereo called on drivers to avoid using their cell phones while driving, noting that this behavior represents one of the main causes of traffic accidents.
