Santiago.- The Judge of the Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of the Judicial District of Santiago, Estefany Santiago Reyes, postponed this Friday for the second time the hearing for the coercive measure against two of the three brothers accused of murdering delivery driver Joel Heredia, 24, with a stab wound to the neck during an incident that occurred last Saturday at a food establishment in the Hato Mayor sector.
The hearing was rescheduled for Wednesday, July 22, at 4:30 in the afternoon, after the legal representation of the victim’s family members requested a new postponement to formally file the complaint with constitution as a civil party and the corresponding power of attorney.
The defense attorney for the accused, Francisco Familia, explained that the court accepted the request presented by the victim’s family lawyer, considering that she has the right to formalize her participation in the judicial process.

The defendants are Eudis Martínez Henríquez, alias “El Pana”, 21 years old, and Anneudy Rafael Cabrera Henríquez, alias “Cocote”, 19, who, together with a 16-year-old adolescent, who was left out of the
process, are pointed out by the Public Ministry as the alleged perpetrators of the homicide.
According to the preliminary investigation, Joel Heredia died after being stabbed in the neck during a violent altercation that occurred at a food business in the Hato Mayor sector, in Santiago.
With this new postponement, the judicial process adds two consecutive reschedulings, while the victim’s relatives wait for the court to hear the request for pretrial detention filed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office against the defendants.
