Bonao, Monseñor Nouel.– A tense moment occurred this Friday in front of the Edenorte offices, when protesters participating in a march attempted to place a coffin at the company’s entrance as a symbol of protest and were prevented from doing so by National Police officers and the distributor’s security personnel.

The incident occurred during a mobilization called by community organizations and residents of Monseñor Nouel to demand a reduction in fuel prices, a decrease in electricity service rates, and the execution of several public works that, as they reported, remain pending.

Despite the altercation, the march continued through the main streets of the municipality and culminated in a gathering on Libertad Avenue, where participants reiterated their demands and requested a response from the authorities.

The organizers warned that they will continue to carry out days of protest peacefully until the Government addresses the demands raised by the communities.
