Community Police hold recreational day at the “Safe Fun” summer camp in Boca Chica

Boca Chica, Santo Domingo Este. – The National Police, through the Community Police Directorate, led by Colonel Margaro Martínez de la Cruz, visited the summer camp for children “Safe Fun” (Diversión Segura), in the municipality of Boca Chica, as part of the actions aimed at strengthening proximity to the community and promoting the healthy development of children.

The activity featured the participation of a team of community managers, led by Major Ana Sánchez, from the Proximity Department, who carried out various recreational and sports activities with the purpose of fostering integration, healthy coexistence, and the integral development of the participating children.

Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed dynamics, games, and educational activities aimed at strengthening values such as respect, discipline, camaraderie, and teamwork, reaffirming the National Police’s commitment to the prevention and formation of responsible citizens from childhood.

The initiative was developed with the support of coordinators Juan Martínez Ventura and Carlos Almánzar, who highlighted the importance of creating safe spaces that contribute to the physical, emotional, and social growth of children during the vacation period.

With these types of actions, the Community Police Directorate continues to strengthen proximity and prevention programs, consolidating the bond between the institution and the community, in favor of the well-being of children and the construction of a culture of peace.
