Companies that establish themselves and invest in the Dominican Republic maintain confidence in the country, and this is demonstrated by the expansions and reinvestments they carry out.
The reinvestment of profits from foreign companies amounted to US$1.668 billion in 2024, equivalent to 36.9% of the total Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), a clear sign of investors' confidence and commitment to the business climate and the stability of the Dominican economy.
In 2024, the Dominican Republic reached a historic record of FDI with US$4.523 billion, representing a 3% growth compared to the previous year and a 50% increase compared to 2019, solidifying the country as the main investment destination in the region.
These data were provided by the executive director of ProDominicana, during the Investment Recognition event.
Riveiro pointed to the Dominican Republic as A Destination of Opportunities, Confidence and Growth.
He highlighted that between 2020 and 2024 the Dominican Republic managed to attract investment from 72 countries, with flows from all regions of the world: North America, with the United States being the main investor; Europe, Asia, South America, Central America, Oceania, Africa and the Caribbean.
