CONANI receives donation of mobile equipment to optimize child protection services

Santo Domingo.– The Association of Women for International Integration (AMPI), chaired by Yoneice Pineda, delivered a container with computer equipment to the National Council for Children and Adolescents (CONANI), in an act that reinforces the collaboration between local and international institutions for the benefit of Dominican children. The donation includes 24 printers, 200 mobile phones and tablets, intended to improve institutional work processes and strengthen protection programs and comprehensive care for children and adolescents. The equipment will be distributed among the logistics centers, the shelters for minors and the national center of CONANI.

“For us it has been a very gratifying experience to be able to interact with institutions such as the association of Dominicans abroad who truly do very necessary work, especially in institutions like CONANI that works with children and adolescents”, said the director of CONANI, Ligia Jeannette Pérez.

Pérez Peña emphasized that these actions allow us to bring smiles and opportunities to children who lack affection and resources: "The most commendable and satisfying work is when we can put a smile on those little faces that are so lacking in affection, hugs, opportunities, and when we find institutions like this that collaborate with us on this cause."

“We are committed to women and children, and this time we have committed to the children of the Dominican Republic. It is very important because in the Dominican Republic there are many needs that must be met, and thanks to us, who are intermediaries of those companies that support us in the projects, we can make life easier for many people,” highlighted the president of AMPI, Yoneice Pineda.

This action is part of AMPI's commitment to the technological and educational development of the country. The corporate social responsibility project was supported by various Spanish companies, including Asociación Sonrisa, Fundación Sese, Master D, Océano Atlántico, Gimmarin, Estelanti and other organizations from Zaragoza and Spain that contributed resources to make this donation possible.
