Santo Domingo.– The fragility of love and the limits between reality and imagination arrive in the country’s theaters with “Cucú”, the new cinematographic project by Evelyna Rodríguez and Danilo Reynoso, who star alongside the outstanding Colombian actor Marlon Moreno.
The film, directed by Tito Rodríguez and written by Junior Rosario, delves into the intimacy of a couple of artists who, after years of trying to conceive a child, find themselves trapped in a spiral of frustration, jealousy, and delusions.
Filmed amidst the misty landscapes of Constanza and the mountains of Cundinamarca (Colombia), “Cucú” is presented as a psychological thriller of trilateral production from the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Colombia, which combines the intimate with the unsettling.
“We are deeply satisfied with the result. ‘Cucú’ is a story that challenges the viewer while continuing to expand the boundaries of Dominican cinema,” expressed Rodríguez and Reynoso, also producers of the film.
It will be available in theaters starting October 16 in the main movie theaters of the country.
