Danny Alcántara calls on the government to provide an incentive to television channels to expedite the analog switch-off

Alcántara says that this measure will ensure that television stations can broadcast their truly digital signal. Santo Domingo.- The journalist and communications entrepreneur, Danny Alcántara, suggested to the authorities to grant some type of facilities to the television stations of the country to guarantee making the leap to the digital system in the shortest possible time.

"From here, we call on the government to grant a kind of one-off incentive to television channel owners so that they can acquire the transmitters and other equipment that guarantee the success of the analog blackout, which is promoted by the INDOTEL, in the shortest possible time," said Alcántara.

Alcántara understands that a measure of that nature will not represent a greater sacrifice for the government and will guarantee, in record time, that television stations can reach their digital signal, thus adhering to the analog blackout promoted by INDOTEL. You can also read: He also recommended that there be a greater delivery of the "converter boxes" in the most remote places and sectors with the lowest incomes to ensure their access to the digital signal and made that call within the framework of the official launch of the fully digital signal of its stations AHORA TV, channel 3 and Catorce TV.
The communications group ACDmedia, led by Alcántara, officially launched this Wednesday the fully digital signal of its stations AHORA TV, channel 3 and Catorce TV, positioning itself among the first in the country to comply with the analog blackout, which by international mandate must be implemented in the coming months for public television.
To ensure the best high-definition signal throughout the country, modern transmitters were installed in the North, South, and East regions, reported the president of the ACDmedia Group. Both channels will have their own and diversified programming, according to their audiences. Now TV, channel 3, focuses its programming on information with three news broadcasts and various analysis and opinion spaces with renowned figures in journalism and opinion leaders. The channel 14, Cartoce TV brings a varied programming, giving opportunity to national talent, reinforced with international programs, thanks to the agreement signed with the Mexican station TV Azteca.
