Deamvi arrests man for domestic violence through judicial order

The named Lisarde Rafael Medina Ramos, a resident of Cotuí, was arrested and is being accused of alleged violation of the provisions of article 309, numeral 2 of the Dominican Penal Code, modified by Law 24-97 on domestic and gender violence, to the detriment of a citizen.

The arrest was made by members of the Unit for the Attention of Victims of Intrafamily and Gender Violence (DEAMVI), P.N., in compliance with arrest warrant No. 2026-AJ0023242.

Following his detention, the accused was transferred to the corresponding evaluation center and subsequently referred to the Public Prosecutor's Office for legal purposes.

The National Police, through DEAMVI, continues to strengthen actions aimed at the prevention and prosecution of domestic violence.

The detainee will be brought before the court.
