DISPLAYING GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF ITS ASSOCIATES COOPNAMA WILL HOLD ITS 54TH ORDINARY ASSEMBLY OF DELEGATES

The year 2025 was proclaimed as the International Year of Cooperatives, as a global validation of the human impact generated day by day by this sector worldwide.

Santo Domingo.- The National Cooperative of Multiple Services of Teachers (COOPNAMA) will hold its Fifty-Fourth Ordinary General Assembly of delegates, showcasing achievements on its social and financial balance, bringing solutions to thousands of families who are part of the national teaching staff.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Prof. Santiago Portes, when announcing the realization of the important activity, assured that this will be the ideal scenario to publicize the actions of greatest impact developed during the last fiscal year in favor of the well-being of its associates, a number that currently hovers around 189 thousand nationwide.

The event, which will be held in the auditorium of the COOPMARENA Hotel, in Juan Dolio, San Pedro de Macorís, will feature the participation of the 322 district leaders from all over the country.

Portes confirmed that the institution is committed to continuous development and improvement of its services, achieving significant progress that reflects the mission of supporting its members and continuing to collaborate with the well-being of the community.

"The success of our institution is the result of shared effort, an inclusive vision, and the firm belief that cooperation multiplies opportunities and overcomes limits. In the teachers' cooperative, numbers matter, but what is essential are the lives we impact," Portes assured.

As part of the extensive program to be developed, the conference entitled: "International Money Laundering in Cooperatives" will be given, by the international specialist, Alicia Guzmán.

On this occasion, the benefits to be distributed to the partners for surplus will be announced, including: distribution to associates, sustainability and institutional development, improvement in services, contingency reserves, donations and solidarity, social responsibility, scholarships for university studies, protection and conservation of the environment, among other contributions.

The activity will take place from Thursday, September 25th to Saturday, September 27th, and will feature the presence of distinguished personalities from the teaching sector, national and international cooperativism, as well as government officials and congressmen.
