The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the US dollar for this Thursday, February 26, 2026, as follows:
At the windows of financial institutions, the buying rate of the dollar was RD$59.82 and the selling rate was RD$61.98.
These figures represent a daily appreciation of the peso of 0.40% and 0.36% respectively, compared to the close of February 24, when the rates were RD$60.06 and RD$62.20.
The strengthening of the national currency is even more notable when compared to the close of the year 2025, accumulating an appreciation of 3.62% in the bank buying rate.
For their part, remittance and exchange agents reported buying rates of RD$60.15 and selling rates of RD$61.32.
In this segment, the peso shows significant robustness compared to the close of the previous year, with a cumulative appreciation of 4.53% in the buying rate and 3.95% in the selling rate. Compared to the previous month, the appreciation in this sector reaches 3.83% in the buying rate.
