The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the US dollar for this Thursday, October 9, 2025, as follows:
Purchase: RD$62.78
Sale: RD$63.20
The general trend of the dollar shows a marked appreciation (or a depreciation of the local currency) when comparing current levels with broader periods.
The dollar has shown a significant appreciation in the last month. In Financial Entities, the buying rate appreciated 1.27% (compared to RD$62.24 a month ago), and the selling rate appreciated 1.30% (compared to RD$63.91).
Regarding the close of 2024, when the dollar closed at RD$59.98 for buying and RD$61.20 for selling in Financial Entities, it is observed that the local currency has depreciated by -2.41% in the buying rate and -2.98% in the selling rate.
