Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Green Party (PVD) took a transcendental step this Sunday by choosing Angelita Peña as its new president, during an assembly of the National Executive Committee held at the Club de Obras Públicas.
The election, held in a democratic and participatory environment, marks the beginning of a new stage for the organization, in which a commitment is made to unity, transparency, and the strengthening of national political life.
The meeting was led by Antolín Polanco, outgoing president of the PVD, who highlighted the importance of supporting this transition process as a sign of institutional maturity and commitment to the future of the country.

In her first words upon assuming the presidency, Angelita Peña thanked the trust placed in her leadership and expressed her determination to guide the Green Party towards a more inclusive vision and one closer to the people:The activity was attended by national, provincial, and municipal leaders, who expressed their support for the new leadership, emphasizing the need to work together for a party that represents a real alternative within the Dominican political landscape.
