The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the euro for this Wednesday, July 8, as follows:

In the remittance and exchange agent sector, the euro was quoted this Tuesday at a purchase rate of RD$65.74 and a selling rate of RD$69.98.

These figures represent a daily appreciation of the peso of 0.10% and 0.15% respectively in relation to the previous day.

The highlight in this sector is the accumulated appreciation of 10.25% in the purchase rate compared to the close of 2025, when the European currency exceeded RD$72.48.

For their part, financial institutions presented a purchase rate of RD$67.38 and a sale rate of RD$69.50

Unlike exchange houses, banks recorded a slight depreciation of the peso of between 0.04% and 0.16% compared to the previous day’s session, which indicates a marginal upward adjustment in the currency price at the counter.

However, the long-term trend remains favorable for the Dominican peso, with an accumulated appreciation of between 8.32% and 8.65% compared to the closing values of the year 2025.
