Family members of young man murdered in La Romana demand justice in front of the Palace of Justice

La Romana – Relatives and friends of Luis Daniel de la Cruz Gil, a 24-year-old man who was stabbed to death, appeared this Thursday in front of the Palace of Justice of La Romana to demand justice for the death of their loved one.

The tragic event occurred early last Sunday morning in the George sector of this city, in an incident that, according to preliminary versions, was linked to personal matters.

For the fact, brothers Samuel Starling José Pérez, 27 years old, and José Alberto José Pérez, 39, are detained, who voluntarily surrendered to the authorities through their lawyers. Both remain in custody, awaiting to be subjected to a judicial process.

According to the medical examiner’s report, De la Cruz Gil died as a result of hemorrhagic shock caused by multiple stab wounds.

It was also reported that, at the time of his death, the deceased had an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the authorities, although details about the causes of said warrant have not been offered.

The victim’s family requests that the case not go unpunished and that those responsible face the consequences as established by law. Meanwhile, the Pérez brothers are at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the competent court to answer for the accusations against them.
