Hato Mayor.– A man and his 10-year-old daughter were injured after being involved in a traffic accident that occurred on the Hato Mayor–San Pedro de Macorís highway, near the well-known curve of the cabins, this Sunday afternoon.
The victims were identified as Francisco Gabriel Pacheco, 30 years old, and his daughter Vianny Pacheco Mejía, who reside in the community of Los Hatillos, in the municipal district of Guayabo Dulce.
According to the preliminary report, both were traveling on a motorcycle when they collided with a van under circumstances that are still under investigation.
The man suffered a head trauma and a significant wound on his forehead, so he was admitted in a delicate condition to the emergency room. While the minor has injuries on her chin, as well as fractures in a leg and an arm.

The other vehicle involved is a white pickup truck, whose driver was unharmed.
Units from the National Emergency System 911, agents of the National Police, the General Directorate of Traffic and Ground Transportation Safety (Digesett), members of the Fire Department, and road assistance personnel attended the scene.
The authorities conducted the scene investigation and proceeded to remove the vehicles from the road to restore traffic.
The case remains under investigation to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
