Government rebuilds streets in the urban area of San Felipe, Puerto Plata

Puerto Plata. - The President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader Corona, inaugurated the intervention of the urban center of San Felipe, which included the reconstruction of eleven streets with an investment of RD 79,855,074. Among the streets involved are: Antigua Vía Férrea, Restauración, San Felipe, 30 de Marzo, Aserradero, Los Jazmines, El Morro and 27 de Febrero, among others. The works included the construction of more than 9,436 linear meters of curbs; 13,497 square meters of sidewalks; the reconditioning of the road surface on three vital axes equivalent to 2,273 square meters of asphalt, as well as the installation of universal access ramps.

Government works during this weekend With an investment exceeding RD 262 million in three new tourism projects and more than RD 1,400 million allocated solely to that sector in this province, President Luis Abinader led a day of great impact in Puerto Plata this Sunday, which included the inauguration of infrastructure, the supervision of the solid waste plant, meetings with young people, and the launch of initiatives that consolidate the tourism rebirth of "The Bride of the Atlantic". The three tourist works include access to Teco Beach, in Maimón; the reconstruction of sidewalks and curbs in the Historic Center and the building that will house the branch of the Dominican Association of Tourism Press (Adompretur) of Puerto Plata and the Tourism Museum. In the act, the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, informed that the Government has invested more than RD 1,400 million in the tourism sector of the province and highlighted the importance of these works and their impact on the development of "The Bride of the Atlantic", which continues to gain new and strong momentum, generating more and more jobs. "These works are of transcendental importance for tourism in Puerto Plata, as we are talking about access to one of the most visited beaches in Maimón, the reconstruction of sidewalks and curbs in the Historic Center and the longed-for building that will house tourism journalists and the Puerto Plata Tourism Museum," said Minister Collado.
