Inaipi delivers Caipi to assist vulnerable children in San Rafael del Yuma
Santo Domingo. – The executive director of the National Institute for Comprehensive Care for Early Childhood (INAIPI), Josefa Castillo Rodríguez, inaugurated the Community Comprehensive Early Childhood Care Center (CAIPI) San Rafael del Yuma, a work that will benefit children in vulnerable conditions, aged between 45 days old and five years old.
With the commissioning of this center, the Dominican Government responds to a repeated demand from the residents of San Rafael del Yuma, in accordance with the commitment of President Luis Abinader Corona in favor of early childhood.
“This says a lot about the President of the Republic, a sensitive president, a responsible president, a president who gives answers, even the most unexpected ones, he is a president who has set out to invest in Dominican children,” the official underlined.
The head of INAIPI highlighted that the parents and guardians of the infants entering CAIPI will have the peace of mind to go to their jobs or continue their studies, with the assurance that their children will be well cared for and protected, receiving comprehensive health services, adequate nutrition and early stimulation.
“Today we have this beautiful work, with the capacity to care for children from forty-five days old to five years old. Without a doubt, this represents a true blessing for this community,” he affirmed, underlining the importance of the community CAIPI as a space for child development and protection.
This is the second CAIPI inaugurated by the executive director of INAIPI in the province of La Altagracia, the first being CAIPI Los Manantiales, located in the municipal district of Verón. The event took place within the framework of INAIPI’s eleventh anniversary.
On her part, the provincial governor, Deysi de Oleo, who represented President Luis Abinader Corona, highlighted that the CAIPI constitutes an initiative that strengthens both children and families in the municipality. “This is a space where parents can feel safe that their children are well cared for, which allows them to move forward, work and study,” she said.
Also present at the event were Francisco Antonio Rodríguez, mayor of the municipality of San Rafael del Yuma; Domingo Pereyra, president of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) in Yuma; Aydee López, regional director of Education; Polonio Guerrero Moní, representing Senator Rafael Duluc; and Mayrelín Pereyra, who thanked the work on behalf of the community.
From INAIPI, Fabiana Tapia, national deputy director; Johanna Elías, director of Service Networks Management; Mártires Guzmán, director of Territorial Articulation; Judith Villafaña, in charge of the Eastern Regional; Alexandra Pimentel, in charge of the CAIPI Department; Sara Colón, representing the Operations Directorate; Anner Victoriano, in charge of the Training and Performance Evaluation Department; and Bienvenido Mena, in charge of the Transportation Department, participated.
