Rosado also explained that upon assuming the institution, they found structural limitations, but with will and the support of the members, they have promoted concrete initiatives for the development of ecotourism in Monseñor Nouel. The space adaptation included a movement of approximately 4,000 cubic meters of earth and the intervention of about 4,000 square meters, covering key areas such as a parking lot with capacity for more than 100 organized vehicles, as well as areas conditioned for the safe and comfortable enjoyment of visitors.
“The great projects in the Dominican Republic have begun with small actions. Just as the Trinitarios were three and managed to create the nation, we understand that we must begin, make things happen, and that is what we have been doing since we arrived at the Council”, he expressed.

Furthermore, the project includes the creation of a community board, which will be formalized with the participation of local institutions and actors, in charge of the administration and care of the spa. As part of sustainability, a cafeteria was left in operation with a seed fund, whose income will be used for the maintenance and continuous development of the area. For his part, Mayor Reinaldo Pichardo thanked the intervention, highlighting that the spa now looks renovated and in line with the community’s pride. With this initiative, the Ecotourism Council of Monseñor Nouel reaffirms its commitment to the development of sustainable projects, where nature, environmental education, and community integration become fundamental pillars for the tourism progress of Bonao and the entire province.By Daniel Reyes
