United States.- Operations at Kansas City International Airport resumed this Sunday, March 8, 2026, after authorities ordered a precautionary evacuation in several areas of the terminal due to a security situation that generated a large deployment of agents.
According to official reports, passengers inside the airport were moved to waiting areas while security teams conducted inspections of the facilities. The mobilization included the presence of police units and specialized personnel.
Although versions initially emerged about a presumed security threat, so far no state or federal authority has officially confirmed that information nor has offered specific details about the origin of the incident.
Through its social media, the Kansas City Department of Aviation reported that it was aware of the situation recorded at the airfield and that, as a preventive measure, some sections of the terminal were evacuated while security assessments were carried out.
