Los Angeles.- American rapper Kanye West, now known as Ye, will have to pay $140,000 to a former maintenance employee who sued him for not paying the full amount for the renovations on his Malibu mansion, a Los Angeles court determined.
The civil lawsuit against the singer was filed by Tony Saxon, who accused the 48-year-old rapper of breaching a contract and wrongfully firing him after he suffered an injury while working at the mansion.
According to information cited by NBC, the artist agreed to pay the employee $20,000 weekly under a 2021 contract to remodel his Malibu mansion, but only provided an initial payment and $100,000 for construction expenses.
