Santo Domingo. - Dominican rapper Lápiz Conciente spoke out this Tuesday in favor of a possible collaboration with El Alfa El Jefe after the call from businessman Santiago Matías (Alofoke) to join forces for the benefit of the local urban movement.
The answer comes after Lápiz himself published on his social media a fragment of a past interview on Alofoke Radio Show, where El Alfa expressed his willingness to record with him, leaving behind past conflicts and in the musical style that Lápiz prefers.
In reaction to that gesture and Matías' proposal, who said he was willing to invest US$100,000 in the production of the collaboration, so that it would be distributed by the new record label Alofoke Music- Sony Music, Lápiz published a video on his official account, where he expressed his openness to the union, as long as it is authentic in favor of the union of the Dominican urban genre and without hidden agendas.
"If you want unity, we are going to give it to you," the artist expressed in the video. In addition, he suggested that if the goal is truly to unite the Dominican urban genre, Rochy RD and other exponents should also be included, such as Don Miguelo, with whom El Alfa has recently had public differences.
During his message, Lápiz clarified that he holds no personal grudges against figures in the media or close friends of Santiago Matías, denying rumors that this stance is to go against Santiago. "I have a lot of my personal friends who are friends of Alofoke and I have no problems with them," he affirmed.
She also took the opportunity to point out that her approach has always been to work from her side, without creating divisions, and that the union of the genre must be done "from the heart" and not for convenience. "I am not the problem, I am always on my side," she said.
Finally, he reiterated his willingness to collaborate on a project that includes the main exponents of the Dominican urban movement, and asked to put aside speculation and confrontations to give way to a true musical union.
