Santiago. - Lawyer José Martínez Brito, legal representative of the 21-year-old woman who was sexually abused by six men in Villa González and whose act was recorded and disseminated on social media, expressed this Friday his confidence that the request for a coercive measure against the accused will finally be heard today in the Palace of Justice of this city
Martínez Brito assured that they have a "robust" complaint, as well as a file prepared by the Public Ministry, which in his opinion guarantees that the accused will be sent to preventive prison while the judicial process advances.
The jurist maintained that this is a serious case, not only because of the sexual assault committed against the victim, but also because of the dissemination of the video on different digital platforms, which aggravates the situation of the defendants.
Regarding the possible involvement of other people in the event, Martínez Brito indicated that we must wait for the course of the investigations, as the judicial process is still in its initial phase.
The Public Ministry has also reiterated its interest in ensuring that the accused receive an exemplary sanction, in a process that keeps society in suspense due to the dimension of the case.
