Leonardo Aguilera highlights Banreservas’ role as a bastion of support for the public and private sectors

The CEO of Banreservas, Leonardo Aguilera, highlighted the role of that financial institution as a bastion of support for economic policies, both for the public and private sectors.

“The message that the private sector receives from the government’s report is one of security and the Reserve Bank, with its large investments, has been a bastion of support for all sectors of the country,” Aguilera pointed out.

Regarding economic policy, he highlighted that the Dominican Republic will have the highest economic growth in Latin America in 2026, with a projected GDP growth of 4.5%.

Regarding President Luis Abinader’s accountability, he pointed out some of the positive indicators that the country has to show, including; macroeconomic stability, poverty reduction, increased security.
