When pronouncing the welcoming words at the Cabrera event, councilman Jacobo Martínez explained that he decided to join the People’s Force (Fuerza del Pueblo) after analyzing the national political landscape and concluding that Leonel Fernández is the leader with the greatest capacity to lead the country’s destiny once again.

“After a great analysis, I realized that Leonel Fernández is the only person with the conditions and the necessary experience to lead this country to a safe harbor,” he expressed, while urging the membership to work tirelessly to achieve electoral victory in 2028.

For his part, the mayor of Cabrera, Gabino (Gabi) Fernández, highlighted the support received from the national leadership of the Fuerza del Pueblo and affirmed that the municipality will continue to contribute to the growth of the organization.

The municipal executive recalled that he decided to support Leonel Fernández since 2019 and highlighted that this political project allowed young leaders to reach important positions of popular representation, as is his case and that of Lenín Campos, mayor of Las Guáranas, who are among the youngest mayors in the country.

“Together with you we took the step in 2019, we took it in 2024, and together with you we are going to take it in 2028, God willing,” he stated, reaffirming his commitment to continue working for the strengthening of the People’s Force.

Gabino Fernández also assured that his administration demonstrates that it is possible to govern with transparency and efficiency. In that same vein, he highlighted that the youth will continue to occupy leadership spaces within the organization.

With the swearing-in ceremonies held this weekend in Nagua and Cabrera, added to those carried out on Saturday with evangelical leaders and professionals from different provinces, the People’s Force consolidates a process of national expansion that reflects the growing support of diverse sectors of society for its political project.
