Santo Domingo.– A collegiate court in San Cristóbal sentenced Rafael Madé Encarnación to 10 years in prison, after finding him guilty of sexual and psychological abuse against a 9-year-old girl, following the Public Prosecutor’s Office’s case.
According to the case file, Madé Encarnación took advantage of moments when the victim’s mother was asleep in the home to commit the acts. According to the indictment, the convicted man subjected the minor to situations of abuse and intimidated her to prevent her from revealing what had happened.
During the judicial process, the Public Prosecutor’s Office presented various pieces of evidence, including medical and psychological evaluation reports, which corroborated the abuse committed against the victim. The events occurred in August 2025.
The investigation was led by the public prosecutor Cristóbal Daniel Batista, after the case was reported to the Comprehensive Care Unit for Victims of Gender-Based Violence, Domestic Violence, and Sexual Crimes of San Cristóbal.
During the trial, the litigating prosecutor Daryl Montes de Oca and the intern prosecutor Jairo Medrano established that the defendant committed violations of the Dominican Penal Code and the Code for the System of Protection and Fundamental Rights of Children and Adolescents (Law 136-03).

Following the report of the case, the Public Prosecutor’s Office requested and obtained an arrest warrant against Madé Encarnación, which was executed by police officers on August 13, 2025, when the now-convicted individual was on the Palenque-Najayo highway.
