Veragua. - A man was killed by a stab wound to the chest, allegedly due to jealousy, after he invited the sentimental partner of his aggressor to dance during a family party in the community of Batey Ginebra, municipal district of Veragua in the province of Espaillat.
The victim was identified as Henry Pichardo Santos, who, after receiving the wound, was rushed to the Rebeca Clinic, where he died while receiving medical attention.
According to witness versions, the event occurred when Pichardo Santos invited a woman to dance, which provoked the fury of her partner, who pulled out a bladed weapon and inflicted the fatal stab.

The assailant, whose name has not yet been revealed by the authorities, fled the scene and is at large, while National Police agents are conducting investigations to find him and clarify the circumstances of the homicide. The lifeless body of Pichardo Santos was taken to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) of Santiago for autopsy purposes. The tragic event has caused consternation in the community of Veragua, where residents are calling for justice and greater control over public events held in the area.
