María Corina Machado will end her clandestinity with a speech she will give this morning in Oslo

(Special envoy to Oslo, Norway) After receiving the Nobel Peace Prize for her tireless fight to end the Venezuelan dictatorship, María Corina Machado will land in Norway this morning to complete an official agenda that includes a visit to the Parliament and Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

But before these protocol activities assigned by the Nobel Prize Committee, María Corina Machado will end her political clandestinity and will give a speech from the balconies of the Grand Hotel, located in the heart of Oslo.

From that place, Ana Corina Sosa Machado -daughter of the political leader- went out this Wednesday to greet the hundreds of Venezuelan militants who never stop smiling when they remember that María Corina Machado received the Nobel Prize and is flying to Norway.

María Corina Machado intended to arrive in Oslo today, but the operation that allowed her to leave Venezuela without a scratch suffered complications that made it impossible for her to arrive before the award ceremony formalized in the historic City Hall.

To arrive in Oslo this morning, María Corina Machado left Venezuela by boat to Curaçao, and from there boarded a private plane under strict security measures.

It was Tuesday, and few in Oslo knew that the opposition leader had put her life on the line to keep the promise of attending the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony.

When she arrives at the Grand Hotel, very close to a Christmas fair and a Ferris wheel, María Corina Machado will reunite with her family. She has been spending her time in hiding for months, facing the illegal arrest warrant ordered by Nicolás Maduro.

And once she finishes with this personal chapter, the main opponent to the Caribbean regime will open the doors of the main balcony overlooking Karl Johans street to regain direct contact with her militants and followers.

The militants who, despite the cold, are already on guard in front of the Grand Hotel, hope that María Corina Machado will insist on the political and historical line of the speech that was read by her daughter at the Nobel Prize ceremony.

"I have come to tell you a story, the story of a people and their long march towards freedom. That march brings me here today, as a voice among millions of Venezuelans who have risen up once more to reclaim the destiny that has always belonged to them," wrote the opposition leader, in a speech that is already in the history of Latin America, after being read by Ana Corina Sosa.

And she added: "Venezuela was born of audacity, shaped by a fusion of peoples and cultures. From Spain we inherited a language, a faith, and a culture that were united with our ancestral indigenous and African roots," recalled Maria Corina Machado

María Corina remains in hiding since August 2024, following the decision of Nicolás Maduro's regime to multiply the arrest warrants against members of her political movement.

Maduro preserved his power by committing electoral fraud against the elected president Edmundo González Urrutia, and forcing María Corina Machado into hiding, who was accused without evidence of plotting a conspiracy against the dictator of Venezuela.

Now, in Oslo, María Corina Machado will regain freedom, even if only for a few days. Tonight the opposition leader will sleep soundly and very close to her family and friends.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump tightens the noose on Nicolás Maduro and his nomenclature. The United States not only sinks ships linked to drug trafficking, but also advanced on the shipping logistics that traffics illegal oil to finance the dictatorship.

"We have just seized a tanker off the coast of Venezuela, a huge tanker, a very large one; in fact, the largest ever seized," revealed the President of the United States.

And he completed with a warning: "Other things are happening, so you will see it later."
