Santo Domingo. - Miguel Camacho, president of the Avanzada Democrática Moderna movement, lashed out this Monday against the opposition parties, whom he accused of manipulating data on blackouts and basic services to misinform the population.
"The opposition is running a campaign based on lies. They invent figures, exaggerate situations, and try to confuse the Dominican people. The situations that have arisen during the current administration have been addressed one by one, even though many of these were inherited and manipulated by those who governed for the last 20 years," he said.
Camacho defended the management of the PRM government and President Luis Abinader, highlighting that no other government has shown so much commitment to improving the quality of life of citizens and that, "here we are working like never before. There is transparency, investment and a real will to solve the country's problems."
The political leader harshly criticized the PLD and the Fuerza del Pueblo for their inability to generate significant transformations in more than 20 years of power, highlighting that they had two decades to change the country and "they didn't do it, but now they come to promise what they didn't fulfill, when they can't even explain their failure."

Miguel Camacho called on the opposition to stop deceiving the people and to side with serious work instead of inventing, "they should get down to work, build real proposals, not repeat empty promises that no one believes anymore."
The renowned PRM political manager assured that the Dominican people have already woken up and know how to recognize who is on the side of progress, while pointing out that the Dominican Republic does not want to go back to the past: "with Abinader and the PRM, the Dominican Republic is moving forward, with a firm step and with deeds, not with empty speeches."
