Mother reports the murder of her son amid a labor dispute over a cap

Santo Domingo.– Amidst the pain and desperation over the loss of her son, Mrs. Zoila de los Santos denounced the murder of Ángelo Miguel de los Santos, 29 years old, which occurred on the afternoon of May 27th of this year.

According to the death certificate, the young man died as a result of a stab wound to the left anterior hemithorax, an injury that would have been caused by his coworker, identified as Randy Francisco Martínez, 27 years old, a private employee.

The incident occurred around 6:40 p.m. at the facilities of the security company SEDOCC S.R.L, located in the province of Bávaro on the El Macao highway, where both worked and Martínez introduced the bladed weapon into the company. According to the testimony of another employee, Frankiklin Sano Joseph, 31 years old, at the time of the shift change the two men argued heatedly over a cap. In the midst of the confrontation, the deceased attempted to physically assault Martinez, who immediately responded by wounding him with a knife-like bladed weapon, causing the fatal injury. The National Police was notified of the case for the corresponding purposes. Meanwhile, the family of Ángelo demands justice and questions the lack of timely responses from the authorities.
