Motorcyclist dies and woman is seriously injured after accident with a semi-truck on John F. Kennedy

Santo Domingo, DR. – A man traveling on a motorcycle lost his life and a woman accompanying him suffered serious injuries after being involved in a traffic accident with a semi-truck, which occurred this Tuesday afternoon on John F. Kennedy Avenue, in the National District.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred around 6:00 in the evening, near the intersection with Paseo de los Ferreteros street. Due to circumstances currently being investigated by the authorities, the motorcycle collided with the cargo vehicle.

According to the available information, the truck driver abandoned the scene after the accident. Authorities are working to establish the causes of the incident and locate the driver.

Agents of the National Police, units of the 9-1-1 National Emergency and Security Attention System, and personnel from the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) arrived at the scene, where they carried out the removal of the body and assisted the injured woman for her transport to a health center.
