MP dismantles micro-trafficking structure and arrests "La Diva"

Arrest the ringleader of the network along with 15 other people during the operation that included 37 raids

Santo Domingo.- The Public Ministry dismantled a micro-trafficking and money laundering network during an operation carried out early this Saturday morning, during which it arrested the leader of a criminal organization dedicated to micro-trafficking and money laundering. In the operation, Soleny Amparo Rondón (la Diva), the leader of the criminal network, was arrested, who will be brought before the courts for the knowledge of a coercive measure.

“Esta acción se enmarca dentro de la política de persecución estratégica que mantiene en marcha el Ministerio Público bajo los lineamientos de nuestra procuradora general Yeni Berenice Reynoso”,

dijo el procurador adjunto Wilson Camacho, director general de Persecución.

Camacho indicated that the raids were carried out, under court order, in Cabrera, Nagua, San Juan de la Maguana and Santo Domingo province.

He explained that during the operation, the prosecutors and agents involved seized drugs, firearms, cash, vehicles, electronic equipment, and documents related to the criminal actions of the criminal organization faced. Camacho recalled that the actions carried out in Nagua are added to others carried out in Sabana de la Mar, Hato Mayor province and Capotillo in the month of May of this 2025.
