Miches, El Seibo. – The president of the Dominican Federation of Municipal Districts (FEDODIM), Pedro Richardson, stated that the inauguration of the Miches Tourist Pier marks a before and after for the coastal development of the East, by turning this destination into "the jewel of Dominican tourism".
Richardson highlighted that the modern structure will allow tourists to board yachts and catamarans bound for paradisiacal places like Costa Esmeralda and Media Luna, a unique natural phenomenon where the sea opens and a beach emerges when the tide goes out. "From this pier, visitors will be able to live experiences that only Miches can offer," he assured.
The municipal leader added that, along with this tourist pier, the Government is also promoting two fishing piers in Playa Grande and El Asfalto, works that strengthen the local economy and generate new opportunities for coastal communities. "These infrastructures are a direct commitment to sustainable development and the expansion of the tourist offer throughout the Eastern region," he emphasized.
