Santo Domingo. - The pot-banging became strong and constant in the residential area "Mi Vivienda" in San Luis I, due to long hours of blackouts that have been occurring in recent days, which makes clear the strong energy crisis that is despairing all Dominican citizens.
Residents report that their mornings are heated as they remain without electricity from very early on and in fact extend until the next day.
Other claims for lack of electricity
Residents of the El Almirante sector, Santo Domingo Este, reported this Saturday that they have been without electricity since four in the morning, accumulating more than 12 hours of blackout, without the Empresa Distribuidora de Electricidad del Este (EDEEste) having offered a solution so far.
The community members claim that, despite the reports made through the distributor's customer service system, the situation has not been resolved.

"Since early morning we've been without power and no one is giving us an answer. It's not the first time this has happened and each time the outage lasts longer," expressed one of those affected. Consulted neighbors expressed their indignation by pointing out that, in addition to facing constant service interruptions, they receive overcharged bills that do not correspond to the actual time of energy they consume. They also expressed their concern about the losses that this situation causes in refrigerated food, as well as the insecurity generated by remaining without power at night and early morning. Residents demanded that the EDE Este authorities restore the service as soon as possible and establish a plan to prevent these failures from continuing to repeat in the sector.
