Public Ministry has not yet filed a coercion request against those accused of raping a young woman in Villa González

Santiago. - The Public Ministry has not yet presented the request for coercive measures against the six men accused of drugging and sexually abusing a young woman in the municipality of Villa González, an act that was recorded and spread on social media. The detainees, identified as Yamir Fernando Pérez Toribio (a) Ferere, 23 years old; Javier Eduardo Núñez Toribio (a) Bebe, 28; Oniel Rafael Pichardo Martínez (a) Contreras, 20; Delfry de Jesús Rodríguez (a) Yiyo, 28; Edwin Manuel Castro (a) El Guaro; and José Alfonso Rubiera, 29, remain in custody at the small jail of the Palace of Justice of Santiago, awaiting the precautionary measures to be announced. The Public Ministry announced that it will request preventive detention for the charges of sexual assault, association of wrongdoers, and illegal dissemination of intimate content, following the circulation of the video that has generated great social alarm in the region.

The case remains under investigation and it is expected that in the coming hours the request will be formalized before the Permanent Attention Judicial Office of Santiago.
