Santo Domingo.– The First Lady of the Republic, Raquel Arbaje, shared in an interview on the program Esta Noche Mariasela what her plans are once her husband, Luis Abinader's, presidential term ends in the year 2028.
With his characteristic, sincere, and approachable style, Arbaje confessed that the first thing he will do is dedicate himself to resting, after years of responsibilities and commitments assumed from public office.
However, the First Lady left open the possibility of venturing into personal projects after that period of pause. "We'll see later. One has their private things, maybe I'll make anecdotes of a FL [First Lady]," she advanced with laughter. During her time as First Lady, Arbaje has been recognized for promoting initiatives in favor of children, education, and mental health, in addition to her active participation in social causes. His statements reflect a look towards the future marked by the desire for a balance between personal life and social service, while public opinion already speculates on the projects he could develop after 2028.“Knowing that you are going to wake up the next day and that you don't have to think about whether there is a drought, whether the dams are full, whether there is someone on the street”, he expressed when describing the tranquility he longs to recover.
