Santo Domingo Norte.– Residents of the Sol de Luz sector reported that constant power outages are keeping families in the community in distress, a situation that, they claim, has caused damage to numerous household appliances and economic losses.

Community members stated that power outages occur frequently and, in many cases, without prior notice, which has affected the daily routine of hundreds of households.

“We no longer know what to do. The power goes out several times a day and when it comes back, it comes with high and low voltages. My refrigerator and a television were damaged,” expressed a resident of the sector.

Another citizen stated that the power outages have significantly deteriorated their quality of life.

“We pay the bill every month and yet we live amidst blackouts. Many neighbors have lost fans, inverters, and other electrical equipment due to voltage fluctuations,” he noted.

Those affected indicated that, in addition to material damage, the electrical failures hinder rest, food preservation, and the work of those who work or study from their homes.

“The only thing we ask for is a stable service. It is not fair that we have to spend money repairing appliances due to a problem that is not our fault,” added another community member.

Faced with this situation, residents called on the electricity sector authorities to intervene and offer a definitive solution to the problem, considering that blackouts have become a constant that affects the well-being and economy of the families of Sol de Luz.
