Russia attacked Ukraine this morning with 476 drones and 48 missiles of different types that caused damage to energy facilities and other civilian infrastructure in a dozen regions and killed 15 civilians in the Ternopil region of western Ukraine, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian Air Force and local authorities.
According to the Air Force, its defenses intercepted 442 drones and 41 of the missiles launched by Russia in the bombing.
The Ukrainian president explained that the Russian attack in Ternopil hit a residential building in which, in addition to fifteen people dying, dozens of civilians were injured.

Zelensky also referred to the consequences of the bombing for the city of Kharkiv, in northeastern Ukraine, where energy and transport infrastructure suffered damage. Energy infrastructure was also hit in the Ivano-Frankivsk regions, where three people were injured, and Lviv. Both are located in western Ukraine. Zelensky stated that this new Russian attack demonstrates that "pressure on Russia is not enough", and called for more sanctions on the Kremlin and additional aid to Ukraine to protect itself from enemy bombings.
