The Floating Bridge will be closed from 10 a.m. to 12 noon for the passage of a vessel this Saturday

Santo Domingo. – The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) informs the public that this Saturday, September 13, 2025, the Floating Bridge over the Ozama River will remain closed to vehicular traffic from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The measure is necessary to allow the passage of the vessel R/M ALPAYO, which will be leaving from the shipyards of M&D Marine Repairs, S.A.

The MOPC recommends that drivers and citizens traveling between Greater Santo Domingo and Santo Domingo East take alternate routes during those two hours, in order to avoid setbacks.

The institution reiterates its commitment to keep the population informed and to work in coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure the safety and fluidity of traffic on this important road corridor.
