La Paz.- The Bolivian Minister of Government (Interior), Roberto Ríos, warned this Saturday that sectors linked to the former president Evo Morales (2006-2019) want to "convulse and obstruct the electoral process" this Sunday, so he asked people to "not get carried away by those attempts to generate chaos".
In a press conference, the minister said that there are "intelligence reports" from the Police indicating that groups of supporters, "identified with Mr. Evo Morales," are trying to harm the general elections.
Ríos also alerted "the international community" about these alleged attempts to "obstruct" the development of the electoral process. «We ask the brothers and sisters of the Cochabamba Tropics not to be carried away by these attempts to generate chaos in the democratic process», said Rios."We cannot allow these people to threaten security in our country, but also to threaten the political right that we citizens have, which is to elect our authorities through voting," he said.
