Santo Domingo. - Agents of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) and members of the Public Ministry, through joint intelligence work, arrested an individual of high interest to the authorities, for his links to the trafficking and sale of narcotics in the municipality of Villa Riva, Duarte province.
Operational and fiscal teams, acting on a court order from that jurisdiction, conducted a raid on a residence in the Barrio David sector of the Las Taranas municipal district, where they arrested Pedro Núñez (Puly), identified as one of the main distributors of narcotics in that area.
During the intervention, the authorities seized in the second room of the house, hidden in a bag with clothing, a package of alleged cocaine, wrapped in plastic wrap and adhesive tape, with an approximate weight of 816 grams.

The individual with a criminal record was placed at the disposal of the justice system in that jurisdiction to be brought to justice in the coming hours for violation of law 50-88, regarding drugs and controlled substances.
The Public Ministry and the DNCD are conducting investigations to determine if there are other individuals involved in this case.
